Hey. I can't wait to listen to this (uninterrupted, ha). I first heard "The Chairman Dances" in college and was fascinated. I tried listening to the whole opera once and discovered that my interest in minimialism was limited to instrumental music... I had a Philip Glass tape (TAPE!!) that I listened to in college...

I just read that John Adams studied with Roger Sessions (among others). Didn't the CSO record something of his in the 90s?

Yes, TB, the CSO did record a Roger Sessions piece under Christian Badea. I'm not sure of the year.

I like Philip Glass too- there was a fascinating documentary on PBS about him recently.
